Corporate Social Responsibility


Nasaman are wholly committed to sustainable development within the areas they operate. As such we work closely with Federal and regional government and with local communities to ensure a high level of social responsibility is adhered to.

Nasaman remain committed to providing employment opportunities for local labor as well as improving local infrastructure. Nasaman have also been involved in providing education and healthcare programmes for the local community.

Nasaman are also committed to adhering to the following 10 principles of sustainable development as laid out by the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM):

07. Contribute to conservation of biodiversity and integrated approaches to land use planning.

08. Facilitate and encourage responsible product design, use, re-use, recycling and disposal of our products.

09. Contribute to the social, economic and institutional development of the communities in which we operate.

10. Implement effective and transparent engagement, communication and independently verified reporting arrangements with our stakeholders.
